JOSÉ PEDRO CARVALHO, a researcher at the R&D Unit SYSTEC, was honored at ICARSC2024, the IEEE International Conference on Autonomous Robot Systems and Competitions, held on May 2nd and 3rd, 2024, with the award for the best master’s thesis titled “Deep Reinforcement Learning Methods for Cooperative Robotic Navigation“.

Additionally, the scientific paper “A Robotic Framework for the Robot@Factory 4.0 Competition”, co-authored by him, was also recognized with the award for best paper.
