SYSTEC Researcher Receives Best Paper Award at IEEE ISCC 2026

Dr. Daniel G. Costa, coordinator of the Laboratory of Emerging Smart Systems (LES2) at SYSTEC, was distinguished with the Best Paper Award at the 31st IEEE Symposium on Computers and Communications (ISCC), held in the Algarve, Portugal, between June 23 and 26, 2026.

The awarded paper, entitled "A TinyMoE Approach for Embedded Mixture-of-Experts in Driver Support Systems," presents research developed in collaboration with SYSTEC researchers Thiago C. Jesus and João Carlos N. Bittencourt, alongside professors Ivanovitch Silva and Thommas Flores from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), Brazil.

This distinction reinforces SYSTEC's commitment to cutting-edge research in embedded intelligent systems and its growing international impact in the field of smart and connected technologies.
